Today, for the fifth time since my parents got divorced, my father has decided he doesn't want to pick me up for his weekend because I'm "too responsible to have fun with." FML

Same thing different taste

Poor planning on your part does not necessitate an emergency on mine

Today, as always, when my dad says he needs my help and that it will only take 15 minutes, it will actually take all day because he doesn't plan ahead. This has happened three times now, so this time I demanded he compensate me for my time if I have to drive out there. He called me an "entitled little shit" and hung up. FML

Then egg his house, he'll never suspect a thing.

It's a perfect opportunity to use your powers for evil, he'll never suspect you since you're the responsible one!

No wonder your parents divorced. Your father is an immature asshole. I'm sorry for you, as you bear the brunt of his assholishness. Be glad it's only on scheduled weekends, not daily.

Look up the definition of irony and try again.

When did they get divorced? I mean because 5 is a pretty low number just sayin.

It doesn't matter how long they've been divorced. Wether it be 6 months or 6 years, it's still pretty hurtful to know that your own father doesn't like or want to spend time with you and has made that fact clear. Parents should WANT to spend time with their kids not because they are fun to be around, although that does make it easier and more enjoyable, but because they are their child and should be loved unconditionally.

And he's too irresponsible to have fun with. Cheer up you can hang with someone else instead, who actually cares about you
