Today, at my school, the student council is trying to raise $5000 for Haiti. They are doing so by playing the song from High School Musical in the hallways and cafeteria everyday until they get the money. FML

Thanksgiving
Questions about your love life, a burnt turkey and the cousin who knows everything: Thanksgiving, a contact sport.
Same thing different taste
Today, at my school they were having a carnival to raise money. One of the patrons suggested that if they wanted to make money, they should have people pledge money to make me cover my ugly face with a bag. The school got over $500, and I had to wear a bag. FML
Today, in gym class, we were forced to learn the "Hoedown Throwdown" dance, by Miley Cyrus. This will actually be counted toward my grade. I'm in high school. FML
Today, after two years of vigorously fundraising on behalf of my senior class, they voted on spending the senior trip money at a waterpark. It's less than thirty minutes from where we all live. FML
Today, I'm participating in a 30 hour awareness-raising event on famine in Africa. I'm supposed to hand out leaflets to people from my booth. My school decided to hand out a literal crate-load of free cupcakes right in front of us. FML
Today, I played in a high school concert. Some alumni of the band were sitting in the audience and were brought to tears. Not because it was beautiful, but because they were sad to see how much the music program had declined since they left. FML
Today, they played Nickelback at our school dance. FML
Today, it was the début of the high school musical I was in. When two others and I sang the word "Hell", my mother yelled at us for using that language, while the musical was still going, and dragged me off stage. FML
Today, my school voted for a Pokémon theme for this year's homecoming. FML
Stealing the scene
Today, during a moment of silence in front of the entire high school during my band concert, I managed to hit the stand with my flute, and loudly scrambled to catch it before it fell over. I've never had so many people look at me. FML
Classy Mom
Today, I was elected "class mom", even though I didn’t want to do it. I was also handed several envelopes in the hectic school hallway, containing parental cash contributions for the year. I lost several of the envelopes while rushing to my car, and now have to contribute €100 instead of €25. FML

Sounds kind of fun to me. If you know a lot of people don't like the song, why not set up a stand selling earplugs and send those profits to Haiti as well?

Is this school Mauldin High School? I attended there for a while, but when I went there they had the assistant principal read from the rule book for Spirit Week until we made $2000, or about $1/person. It took one period. How long is it taking to raise $5000 for Haiti?

the constitution protects against this with the 8th amendment excessive bail and cruel and and usual punishment, there charging a 5000 dollar bail to get out of the high-school musical prison.

This is when you walk around wearing earphones so you don't have to hear that crap. The TOTUS already gave 100 million, the telethon the other week added another 80 million IIRC, therefore the taxpayers have already paid their donation to Haiti.

If you donate money, don't do it at the school. Then they've won. Just donate online, to spite them. That way u help the Haitians, but the people raising money still feel like they've accomplished nothing and thus feel bad.
