She then told others that I have a chronic yawning problem at work and need medical intervention. I can't even yawn once after a long tiring day on my own time. FML

Today, my older, temporary coworker comments every time I yawn, sneeze, cough, leave my desk to use the restroom, and on what I eat at lunch, laughing the whole time. It’s driving me crazy. Only 8 more weeks. FML

Yawning funny enough could be considered contagious in many situations, but verbally abusing someone because of it is beyond stupid...

He could have a point. In the 1960s, there was a contagious outbreak of laughter in Tanzania that lasted for six months and caused schools to be closed.

That reminds me of the time back in my school days on a class trip when a teacher reprimanded me for coughing in the restaurant we were in because the smoking man nearby (smoking was allowed indoors back then) might take offense to it. The teacher knew that I was recovering from a recent bout of pneumonia!

If your co-worker wants to verbally abuse you for yawning, perhaps you should desire to report him to HR for verbally abusing you. :p Correcting this type of stupid is almost a civic duty, lest it continue. ;p
