Today, my not-quite-potty-trained toddler niece had a 'wee accident' in my bed. I used towels to mop it up and changed the sheets. Later, I had the bright idea to dry it faster by turning the electric blanket on high. Now my room smells like burned urine. FML

You can't machine wash electric blankets. You can spray it with air freshener and hang to dry

I would highly recommend an enzymatic cleaner for pet stains to remove the odor!

Get a spray bottle of peroxide ( the kind you use for cuts) spray the WHOLE bottle on the pee area saturate it. Let it sit for a bit and put baking soda on it. It gets rid of the smell and the colour like a charm. If you spray it in the morning it should dry by bed time you'll know where to spray by smell! Vacuum off the baking soda should be good to go
