Today, my wife expressed how much she misses going out dancing, so I told her I'd be glad to work on my two left feet with her. She said, "I already tried to teach you" before lamenting the time she's missed out on dancing with the cowboy guys she used to dance with. She's now watching dance videos 10ft away, looking all sad. FML

Today, although I can't dance, I decided to go to a club. A really cute girl asked me to dance, and I politely declined. She kept insisting, so I finally said okay. A few minutes in, she stopped, looked at me, and said, "If you're going to make fun of my dancing, I'm leaving." FML

Today, after my sister's wedding, a bunch of people were dancing. I noticed my grandma sitting alone and looking sad. My grandpa died last month, so feeling bad for her, I asked if she'd like to dance with me. She seemed a lot happier, until I accidentally caused her to fall and break her arm. FML

Today, my dad came home and said that he was so inspired by hip hop dancers on TV that he decided to take a hip hop dance class. He signed up for the class that my girlfriend teaches. FML

Today, I finally got cleared after my knee surgery and wanted to go salsa dancing with a girl I liked. So we went and I thought I would show off a little bit and try to dip her and kiss her. Turns out my knee isn't strong enough and now she won't talk to me after dropping her on the floor. FML

Today, my wife showed me a video she took of me last night. I was shit-faced, dancing half naked to '90s club music in the middle of the street at midnight. She won't stop laughing at me and replaying the video. FML

If it's dancing, let her have her fun. My man has two left feet, and doesn't do club, parties or alcohol. I'm the opposite, and do go out and dance my night away. Nothing sinister in having a hobby you enjoy and your partner doesn't. Blocking once interests because you don't enjoy it is toxic. Not everything is a backstory for cheating, and not everything has to be done as a couple. You can have separate breaths.

If it’s dancing specifically and not the going out part that she misses, there’s probably somewhere nearby where people meet up to dance regularly that you could sign her up for. You don’t always have to do everything together, and while she is out dancing you could invite some friends over or work on your hobbies or something.
