Do NOT insult the asswipes of the world by including yourself I'm their number. Asswipes have redeeming qualities and are useful. You on the other hand meet none of those positive attributes. I hope she goes on to find someone to properly love her and that she will make a great life spreading the word of the dangers of car accidents.
No, that's fine. Attraction is not negotiable, nor can it be forced. But you should consider breaking up with her in a mature way. You don't need to go into details. Simply tell her that you don't love her anymore (which I guess is true).
Attraction is non negotiable? Really? So if you marry someone and they get disfigured in a house fire or something (hypothetically) and no longer fit your “attraction standard” what? You’re gonna drop them like a hot potato? You’re sick……
I was in a car accident some years ago, and my girlfriend broke up with me a while after, because I received a brain injury and she experienced that my personality was changed afterwards, but she didn't fake her death! If you're no longer attracted to your girlfriend, just brake up with her. It's much simpler, and you won't have to make quite a lot of people act like you're dead.
Life is not so simple as we wish. Yes, some people are “asswipes” because they are only there for the good times even though they professed to always be there. …. But sometimes there are things we cannot get past. We want to be the person we thought we were and be there through thick and thin. But then reality sets in and we cannot find our way through some of these issues. …. Does that make those who bail out when we encounter a problem too big for us to handle a bad person? Well they’re not a great person, but we all have limits and sometimes they are tested. …. My process in such horrible situations is (1) Is this a short term thing that can be fixed or is it a much longer term issue. We can do wonders when we have hope. If there is real hope, put in the effort. (2) Does this seriously threaten my basic survival and mental health? If it honestly does, then you need to be looking for a plan B. (3) Once you make your decision, be honest but as kind as possible, and then put your decision into action.
