Out in the sticks

Today, the area I live in is so rural that the nearest Starbucks is a one-hour drive away. And in another country. FML

Next time you're craving a iced caramel macchiato, don't forget your passport!

I am 2.5 hours away from the nearest Tim Hortons and I live in Canada.

the nearest hospital is 100 miles and only thing 24hrs in that distance is a crappy gas station

Sounds like an opportunity for you to open one.

It might be cheaper to just make coffee at home then.

Given that their products are the Harley Davidson of coffee - over priced, overhyped, and honestly mediocre at best - I'm not seeing how not being near a Starbucks is anything other than a small blessing. I traded quiet nights in the boonies for easy access to crass commercialism and noisy crowds years ago and never looked back.

That actually sounds like good news. Except for the being in the middle of nowhere bit.

Meanwhile, the FML for me is that the nearest Starbucks is within my country.
