Today, my parents told me that from now on I have to share a room with my 9-year-old sister. She already called top bunk. I'm 20. FML

Your parents told you it's time to move out even though they didn't say it directly.

Everyone is talking about how they should move out, but it's not so easy these days. Don't forget that minimum wage still sucks and even with 2-3 it can be hard to support yourself. Don't forget about health insurance. The odds of you getting a job where you work enough to get it is not guaranteed. There's also the probability that at 20 they're doing some schooling or going to soon. Makes it harder. While all of this is possible, it's incredibly difficult. Especially for someone so young and green(not energy).

While it sucks. You do have the option to move out

So you're old enough to get an entire apartment to yourself. You should do that.

I think your parents may be trying to make home life uncomfortable enough to make you want to move.

Since when does "calling" count when one of the contestants is an adult. Insist on a democracy where the majority of registered voters decide who gets what bunk. Personally, the top bunk sucks, so you should be glad the kid is stupid enough to take it. No matter what, your dating life is over.

I lived with my parents longer than the OP has and agree with you it is harder than one realizes in this day and age.

The answer’s simple, become a prostitute

Agreed. I couldn't afford to move out until I was 24. That's because I moved to country where rent is much more affordable.

when I was your age, I'd owned a house for two years.

I bought it less than 6 months after I turned 18

when you were her age it was probably 1902

Could be worse... you could be a 20y/o on the top bunk XD

Do you have a brother who can't make his own sandwhiches?

They are trying to get you to move. Heck I prefer the bottom bunk anyway.
