Today, on my wife's and my 30th wedding anniversary, my dad once again told me the "honeymoon phase" won't last and soon we'll begin hating each other, and fighting all the time. I wouldn't take it personally. He probably just doesn't want to have any blame on himself, sometimes growing apart just happens, sometimes it has help, sometimes it never happens but no relationships are the same.
