It's okay OP, the same thing happens to me when I visit my boyfriend. I usually spend the first 5 minutes there just petting his dogs anyways.

My husband has this plaque that says something about how you know your dog is more excited to see you than your wife. If you don't believe it try locking them both in the trunk of your car for an hour...
