Today, I came home and saw my roommate had taken out the garbage for the first time in the three years we have lived in the same house. Unfortunately, the bag of laundry I had by the door was taken out with it as well. FML

Um, it might be helpful to not put your laundry in a garbage bag next to the door? Just a thought. Your roommate still should pay some attention to what (s)he is taking out, although that is probably a little too advanced for someone taking out the trash the very first time, hehe.

that sucks, next time laundry in a basket right? lol I know I wouldn't check a trash bag for clothes, than again hopefully your roommate isn't shady and didn't steal or sell them or something I'd look into that one since clothes vs trash, you can tell the difference when you carry them

The same thing happened to me, except I had my swimsuit in a plastic bag because it was wet and my parents threw it in the dumpster along with the trash.
