So you "forgot to bring" something that was lost? If it was lost before it got to you, then you couldn't forget to bring what you never had. Otherwise, it sounds like you got it, forgot to bring it, and claimed that it was lost in an attempt to avoid any repercussions.

You went to Detention when you really weren’t supposed to? Remind them the next time you go to retention that you now have one on reserve. Maybe you won’t have to do detention then. Because you already served previously.
