Cough up

Today, I dinged my boss's very expensive car. My car wasn’t damaged, so in a panic, I moved my car to another spot and said nothing. Less than an hour later, my boss showed me high definition security footage, so now I either cough up repair money I can’t afford, or I get fired. FML

probably should have told him right away and hopefully you have car insurance. depending on where you are uts illegal to drive without it.

You're fortunate that your boss is using "or." For this kind of deceptive behavior, you should be fired, arrested and forced to pay damages.

In your defence, coming clear wouldn't probably have different effect. And also if your boss minor car fix isn't something one can afford from the salary, then maybe finding a better job isn't that bad of an idea after all
