Close shave

Today, I had dinner at a local fast-food joint. There's an employee there that I usually talk to and flirt with, so I thought maybe it was time to ask for her number. After a small conversation and almost getting to the point, she told me, "I'm 17." I'm 23. FML

Well its good that she told you. Consequences averted.

That’s legal in some states. If she’s not jail-bait, let her make the judgment that you’re too old for her.

That's why I usually ask a gal which year of college is she attending to find out whether or not she's still in h/s.

Is the FML because she still said no, or because she was younger than you thought and a little inappropriate?

My ex fiancé and I started dating when I was 19 and he was 25. Same age difference. Exactly how under 18 was she. And if you actually like her how capable are you of keeping it in your pants until she is 18 if you're that worried about it?

That's actually the same ages as when I've met my wife (I was 23, she was 17). I'm 43 now, we're still VERY happily married. What's the big deal?
