Bad timing

Today, I called my husband and he told me that he was going to invite his friend Jeff over that night. I told him I would prefer that he didn't come over. He took it to mean that I wanted to spend time with him and came home with flowers. Then had to tell him I was leaving him. FML

this is what it should be: "Today, I was going to have my friend Jeff over, my wife calls and says she prefer he doesn't come. excited that we are going to have sex for the first time in 5 months, i buy her flowers on the way home. Turns out she was leaving me. FML"

To all the assholes calling the OP a "bitch", why don't you think about the fact that she might be in a terrible marriage? Just because he bought her flowers doesn't mean he's the greatest man in the world. My ex-husband bought be flowers four hours after he threw me through our glass back door.
