Backseat drivers

Today, I was in the car with my 4-year-old sister and our puppy. Suddenly, she blurted out from the backseat, "I don't love you anymore." Shocked, I asked her to repeat herself. She looked me straight in the eye and said, "The puppy doesn't love you either." FML

It's scary how she already knows what will hurt you.

Bringing the puppy into it? Harsh.

It's nothing you can't have a laugh about ???

Your little sister hates you, everybody laugh!! (sarcasm)

I know, I doubt she really feels that way anyway. She's friggin 4 years old guys...

Remember this when she asks you for a favor or something. My sisters say this kind of stuff all the time and then two minutes later they tell me they love me again.

She's 4 hope she will think more about it .

So? Little kids always say stuff like that. Wait until she hits her teenage years, you'll find out if she really meant it.

remind me how telling someone you don't love them anymore is cute?

It's a phase many children of that age go through. If they don't get what they want they say stuff like that. It'll pass.

From the fml, it seems to be random.

It's possible she will change her mind, kids tend to do that all the time. And I don't think she's grasped the meaning of what she said either, so don't take it too seriously.

It sounds like in innocent remark because she's only 4, and because you were shocked, I think it's safe to assume that she's generally sweet. Just make a joke out of it and remember to build bonds with your siblings.

Sounds like the puppy is behind all of this.

That's why I'm a cat person. They still hate you, but in a less direct, more passive-aggressive way.
