YDI you shouldnt have put her on the spot like that and if you didnt want to get rejected in front of a lot of people you should have asked her later. She shouldnt be obligated to say yes just because you were stupid enough to ask her out in front of 200 people

Mehhh, I'm not so sure whether I'll give a 'FYL' or 'YDI' because you got rejected in front of 200 people, but you put your friend on the spot and had her pressured to give a 'yes' or else she'd look like a bitch : I know I'd be feeling very pressured if that happened to me. I wouldn't be a happy person then. #28: If she said yes in public but let him down in private, that would just be down right lying and it'd make her look even more like an ass if people found out.
