Today, my band had a show. We played a love song, and during the bridge, I asked out a friend of mine who was in the crowd, over the mic, in front of at least 200 people. She said no. FML

I would have said no too. I never would want to be put on the spot like that. It's funny how people think they'll get an automatic "yes" because they do it in front of other people.. I'm going to have to say YDI, and FYL.

As "romantic" as it might seem, you kind of put her on the spot. Not really her fault. That, and you were playing "Love song"? She probably thought you were gay.

She could have agreed to go on ONE date. One date isn't a commitment and certainly wouldn't have been absolutely horrible if they're friends.

It's not that you deserve to be rejected but you put undue pressure on a girl by singling her out in a crowd of 200. You should've done this in private. YDI
