Today, my boss told me I wasn't getting the promotion I'd been angling for. I was so pissed off, I ranted to a coworker about it over lunch. Turns out my boss was just testing how I dealt with rejection before making his final decision. He overheard my rant and me calling him a Nazi bitch. FML

Autumn: Leaves and Laughter
When the leaves fall, the laughter rises. Discover autumn stories as crisp as dried leaves!
Same thing different taste
Today, my boss wrote me up for saying "pissed" in front of a client. This is the same boss who nearly pissed himself laughing when a client made an extremely off-color Holocaust joke a few weeks ago, in front of half the department. FML
Today, I went to deliver some reports to my boss in his office. He was facing away from me and ranting about his "useless employees", so I slipped in and waited for him to put the phone down. Turns out he was talking to himself. When he noticed me, he bitched me out and threatened to fire me. FML
Office politics
Today, my coworker threw a bitch fit about not getting a promotion she'd applied for. My other coworker had got it, so after her fit, management worked something out: they gave the promotion to her, and the coworker that originally had it was given a promotion that I'd been promised for months. Now I have none. FML
Today, my boss found out I had applied for a much better paying job. He told me I'd do a better job and make more money there. Then he fired me. FML
Today, I confronted my boss to find out why I was denied a promotion that she promised to me. Her response? "You should know by now I'm a liar. Not my fault if you believe the things I say." FML
Mr Boss Man
Today, my boss threatened to write me up, after I made a slightly rude joke about a coworker everyone hates. A while later, a colleague told me the same joke. Turns out my boss had gone around telling it to everyone else and taking all the credit. FML
How very dare you?
Today, I was getting lunch at a fast food restaurant. My boss was in front of me, and in order to get on his good side I offered to pay. Instead, I got fired because I guess my boss assumed I was making fun of his salary, which I knew nothing about. FML
Bad timing
Today, I was at a big meeting at work. The CEO was reaming the hell out of us for our recent poor profits, when I accidentally let rip a vile fart. I was then subjected to a 10 minute tirade of abuse for "trying to be a funny man", and told that whatever small chance I had for a promotion is now gone. FML
Today, the CEO of my company wanted to meet with me. I was excited until I found out she just wanted to bitch me out and personally fire me. Later on, I found out my boss had totally shafted me and blamed the failure of a big project on me instead of admitting it was all his fault. FML
Today, my boss came into the office asked how I was doing and seemed totally normal and happy, then said, "I have to let you go. I heard some bad things about you." He wouldn't tell me what he heard, or from whom. FML

Why are you getting mad at him for not giving you the promotion it's his job to see who would do the job best and you obviously don't deserve it if you are calling him a "nazi b*tch"

Bet you did Nazi that coming! Bad pun...but seriously, very unprofessional. Personal feelings should be separated from business. It creates nothing but tension and trouble.

Never complain when that person can hear you

I've learned never to complain unless I'm in my house where I'm sure that no one I talk about can hear me. Everything that can go wrong, goes wrong when you least expect it.

That's why you wait until you're behind your closed house doors to rant.

He's lying about testing you...

Exactly what I was thinking. It seems to me more like he said that to make OP feel like shit, and also to get him to stop whining like a bitch.

Couldn't agree more, your boss is mind ******* you. He sounds like a right ******.

That all being said, if op's boss is playing mind games op lost horribly.

Rant on the internet where no one knows you're really a dog pretending to be human!
DaRito 25
On the Internet, men are men, women are men, and children are FBI agents. And OP is a dog according to your wisdom.

According to your wisdom you didn't get the reference.

If he's a shitty boss, call it like it is.

@54 All we know is that Op's boss didn't give them a promotion. That doesn't say anything about his qualities as a boss, op could've just been pissed off

I don't know bout you. But normal humans vent when they are mad. What you just said is gonna stab you in the back at some point.

63, you're 15. The workplace is not a place to insult your boss behind their back. If you want to name call your boss do it outside of work and not to your coworkers (because they can and probably will use that to stab you in the back). The more mature thing to do would be to vent to your boss. Go to him or her and ask them why you didn't get the promotion and what you can do for the next time that you're up for a promotion. That's how a mature adult "vents". I've had internships and other jobs and I've always made nice with my bosses. So that in the future if I'm looking for a job or need a reference they'll be there for me. If I were the OP'S boss I would have fired them or at least severely reprimanded them.

Whatever happens, you brought it on yourself. Never rant about someone where they can hear you.

I guess now we all know you don't deal with rejection well. You might want to work on that... you can't always get what you want.
gabe222 25
There was actually a song created with that specific thought! I love singing it when people complain.

Or can you?
GriffonTheCat 10
Well if the first thing you jump to after not getting what you want is calling people nazis, maybe your boss was right about the whole rejection thing
