Show it anywayNo shit, Sherlock.
Rude.
Translation of sammiking's comment: "I feel like an idiot for making an obvious comment, and I feel like an even bigger idiot for then clarifying my obvious comment, so now I'm going to do exactly what the customer in the story did and go completely apeshit to cover up my needless frustration and make myself look like an asshole." You're brilliant DocBastard. Thanks for the laugh!??
Best thing I've read all day DocBastard
Well, there ya go, the first step is admitting there is a problem to be fixed.

Show it anywayOh dear, it appears the internet isn't as fluent in sarcasm as I thought.
It's not the internet but just the FML community my friend...
Oh, I know you aren't trying to imply the FML community is dense, get outta here with that noise. I love the people here.
^ I think everyone knows it was sarcasm, it just isn't funny
XD every single comment you made but they made my day, thumbs up for you
1st, why doesn't your McDonald's serve lunch all day, mine does and it's wonderful 2nd, that guy is a dick, hopefully you don't get guys like him very often
This was in Australia. Maybe it's a franchise that doesn't see a point of serving lunch at 9:30. I don't see a point.
After working the night shift at work it's nice to be able to grab a quick meal and then go right to bed. And sometimes, I just feel like a Big Mac at 9am. But maybe that's just me.
They don't serve the lunch menu till I think after 1030 at all, in most of, if not all aus
It's the same in the UK. No lunch menu until 10:30am
In Canada they don't serve the lunch menu before 10:30 or 11:00. I made this mistake when I showed up and asked for a meal after driving my brother to the airport (I had a huge craving), and they told me they didn't serve lunch yet. Boy was my face red!
3 - i dont know about you but most on canada like mine dont have the capacity to serve both. since the grill has to be set to a lower temperature to cook eggs and we dont have enough grill space to accomodate both eggs and beef without service times being extremly slow (it takes 10 mins to heat up the grill to beef cooking temps, not reasonable for a fast food place) and the setup of the kitchen is very differnt during breakfast and breakfast shit gets in the way. plus most people dont want burgers at 7am. maybe your store is much bigger or something, or completly differnt layout
Most McDonalds I've lived around don't do it either, and I live in the U.S. Probably just a few do it if they have the capacity and demand for it.
A big mac is the best hangover food, and sometimes you need hangover food before 10am.
guy? she never said the customer was a guy, are you assuming that because he/she was rude, that's sexist.
regardless of why the store doesn't serve lunch all day, it doesn't and it's nothing to do with her. In Australia, where the comment is from, no lunch menu is served before 1030am. As for the people that want it, in my experience your a minority that doesn't warrant the extra waste/longer service time for the small extra profit (unless you like old cold food?) and if you want it you should request it (properly, through the company website). If the demand is there they'd do it. complaining to anyone in store is a waste of time, it's not their decision.
I think every person should have to work in customer service before they die..
I say this all the time!! It should be a thing you do as a freshman in high school. Work a week in a job like this and learn some respect!!!
I think customers shouldn't be total assholes. Yes, we work in customer service. That means that it is our job to make sure that you leave happy. We need customers to return, so if we have to lick dog shit off of your feet (and have a big ol' smile while doing it.), than so be it. But we deserve the same level of respect as you. Standing behind the counter does not give you a free pass to be an asshole. Believe it or not, we are people with genuine feelings (Shocking, I know!). Most of the time the person at the counter or waiting your tables has nothing to do with what going on in the kitchen! We learned manners in pre-K, people! Use em'.
I think it is all about how you are raised, and treating people how you would like them to treat you. Folks these days don't see that. Respect is almost a foreign concept among teens these days, imagine them as adults.
I completely agree #4. Working in retail changed so much on how I shop or how to treat the people who have suffer through it. I've never been the "rude customer" type, but even still, it gives you a new outlook; you just think twice before you say something like this douchey customer.
114 - the majority of people that give me a hard time at mcdonalds are middle aged people. teenagers and kids usually listen, (when it comes to wait times, prices, rules to extra charges) in my experience and everyone ive talked to thats worked here. teenagers might be annoying, loud, and be innapropriot with their friends but i never get harrassed by them like an old lady...
Where is the manager to solce these menu issues, sorry fot that rude customer OP
Managers generally don't have control over menu options either. And even if the manager had come to handle the situation, they would have just told the customer the same thing, so it would have done no good.
Some people are just pathetic and you can't let them get to you. When a customer says something as aggressive as that though even if they are just venting I would talk to your manager and dm to maybe have him banned from your location
The worst feeling ever is when you shoot the messenger, and your the messenger. It's not like it was your fault so why be mad?
He must be fat
I went through stuff like that all the time when I was a cashier. People seemed to think I controlled the prices and didn't mind giving me a piece of their mind about them -__-
I understand the feeling. You work for a corporation and no, you don't make the rules. I get blamed all the time when customers call in and they aren't happy with the information I provide. It's per policy, I don't just make this shit up on the spot. People love to point their finger at whoever(whomever? Idk) they're talking to simply because they need an outlet to bitch, and it happens to be your lucky day.
