Today, my best friend refuses to attend my wedding, all because I’m marrying her ex. He left her for me but didn’t cheat. We just fell in love and he had the decency to leave the relationship before starting to date me. She refuses to understand that no matter how hard I try to explain. FML

Today, I arrived at my best friend's wedding and found out that my invitation was no longer valid. His brother tried to explain that they'd decided to make the ceremony for family members only, then two our classmates popped out to say hello. They're not related, neither to my friend nor to his fiancée. FML

Today, I invited my best friend of 15 years to my birthday party. He wants to bring his girlfriend of a year along, because she feels "threatened" by our friendship, and thinks "He’ll cheat." I'd already put the deposit for the venue and it costs $50 per additional guest. FML

In his defense, it's your best friend. He has no obligation to attend her wedding. They are boring, and so who can blame him? If the shoe was on the other foot and his homie was getting married, you wouldn't wanna go either. Only to party after.

Weddings take too long, and are unnecessary to show you love someone else. People only go to weddings because it usually provides another excuse to get drunk. And kids only go because they're forced.
