Today, I noticed my daughter’s bathroom was dusty, so I screamed at her for keeping the bathroom in unacceptable condition. She had a panic attack and has been crying for the past week. She’s 24. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, my daughter spent three hours crying and having a temper tantrum over being forced to have a bath after four days without one. My daughter is 16. FML
Today, my daughter had an anxiety attack. Why? Because I told her she needs to be making her bed every day. FML
Today, I had to listen to my daughter’s explosive diarrhea while I watched TV. When she came out of the bathroom, she went white as a sheet. Apparently she thought she was alone. FML
Today, my daughter lightly bumped her hand on a wall, cried and screamed for 5 minutes, vomited, then passed out. She’s 19. FML
Today, without context, I overheard my daughter saying that she would “literally rather have mercury poisoning than have her mother yell at her one more time.” She’s 24. FML
Today, my 14 year-old daughter threw a massive fit over showering. She dislodged the shower curtain rod and threatened to beat us with it if we ever force her to shower again. FML
Today, my daughter didn't clean the bathroom today, even though I told her yesterday that she needed to do it. She claims she forgot, because, she’s "slept since then.” FML
Today, my daughter used my towel. She thought that because it was clean, it would be okay. She’s 27. FML
Today, my daughter locked herself in the bathroom having a tantrum after her boyfriend dumped her. So, out of sheer desperation, I had to sit in the kitchen sink for a pee, which is when my husband walked in with his mother and sister. FML
Today, I was in the shower, when I heard my daughter scream and shout, "Mommy, mommy! Help! Come quick!" I panicked and rushed downstairs without even looking for a towel to cover myself, all so I could find out she'd just gotten a piece of dirt on her shoe. FML

You had a fit over DUST? You are the problem. and crying for a week is not a panic attack, it's deeper than that, obviously.

I hope you never come to my house, it has dust. Am I keeping my house in unacceptable condition? I really hope your daughter packs up and goes no contact with you.

Was there a reason that you screamed rather than having a conversation with her?

You're an adult who's presumably older than your daughter, and you can't understand how to get your desired outcome. I'll give you a hint: screaming at other adults rarely works as a long-term strategy. Perhaps you should investigate therapy.

Congratulations, your daughter is afraid of you. She probably has been since she was a child. Asshole fathers will do anything except go to therapy, as usual.

OMG it's just a little dust. Show me one house without at least a speck of it. But if a 24-year-old is having a panic attack and complete breakdown over your reaction, what else have you done/freaked out about???
