Today, I got excited because I found a chat line for teens who are dealing with depression. I signed up and was about to enter the chat room when a message popped up that said, ''Sorry this is only available for teens in the United Kingdom.'' FML

depression isn't never feeling happy, dumbfucks. I recently started lexapro and I'm 15. depression is an imbalance of chemicals In the brain that causes feelings of happiness. what depression really is is wanting to kill yourself most of the time and on the rare occasion that you do feel happy, it's incredibly easy to make someone go from happy to suicidal with an insult. so why don't you all go learn what a disease is before you go around insulting a depressed kid?

Depression is not the same as suicidal. You CAN be suicidal when you are depressed, but having depression is not automatically being suicidal. Sometimes it's just being unhappy enough to pinch yourself until you're covered in swollen and sometimes bleeding, bruises. Sometimes it's thinking that suicide would be too good for you option, and that you deserve to live and suffer because you're that much of a screw up, even though no one else sees you like that. Sometimes, it's just plain hating yourself and refusing to live, but not really wanting to die either, so you just hide under the desk in your bedroom when you were 9 years old and sleeping from 4pm when you get home from school until 7am when you wake up again, because you don't want to deal with anything.

all of you assholes **** off depression is a serious thing dont call her stupid dont make fun of her omgosh i use to have really bad depression and sometimes when things go wrong it comes back but you just need to fight it you need to think of the really good things in your life surround yourself with things you love it may sound stupid but it really helps believe me there all so the boys and girls town hotline http://www.boystown.org/
