Today, I was at a wedding and caught the bouquet. My boyfriend of five years panicked and proposed on the spot, thinking I was hinting at something. I just wanted to catch some flowers, but I had to tell him to get a grip without hurting his feelings. FML

On my planet, in the USA, everyone knows the tradition that the catcher of the wedding bouquet is the next person to get married. That’s why the bridesmaids try to catch the bouquet. OP, it’s naturally implied that if you were trying to catch the bouquet you wanted to get married. OP if you just like flowers go by a florist shop or your nearest large grocery store’s floral department or ask your boyfriend to get you some flowers.
