Today, while I was standing in the elevator with a few people I just met when I moved in yesterday, I felt something fall on my hair and dusted it off. It was a cockroach. None of them will come within a 1m distance to me now, because they all think I've got lice. Welcome to the building! FML

I don't think losing them as "friends" is that big of a loss. If they think cockroaches are headlice then they're morons.

If they saw the cockroach, they would instantly realized it was not lice. If they didn't see the cockroach, I'm doubting that the first thing that comes to mind would be lice. (Unless, of course, you have nasty hair.) Good luck, but chances are they are avoiding you for other reasons. ;) Oh, and now that I think about it, they would definitely realize if they had cockroaches. Maybe they are avoiding you because of that knowledge. Idk, who cares. It's not life-threatening if they don't enjoy your company.

I wholeheartedly agree with comment 61. It's time to find a new apartment. FYL.
