Today, I realized why my lavender products were no longer helping me calm down. I use lavender so much when I'm anxious that I've associated the smell with anxiety. FML

OP, I urge you to see a psychologist or counselor. Obviously anxiety has become a serious issue in your life and that can interfere with the rest of your life. This sounds like it needs professional attention not home remedies and soothing scents. I have a brother who suffers from anxiety attacks and I know that this can be serious.

Lavender is like a bandaid, you need to get down to the root of your anxiety problem and treat it from there.

Try something that you always smell when you're relaxed.

I did that with a phone game that required no brain use. it calmed me down, but when I tried to play it when I was fine it made me anxious. we can't win

Switch to chocolate. I don't know if it'll help, but having a bunch of chocolate products around would be delicious!

Step 1: Get another smell Step 2: Please give those lavender things to me because I am in desprate need for relaxation, and not much is working, and I am willing to try this
