Today, I, a person who will be 21 in a few months, was mistaken for my mom's older brother. My mom is in her fifties. Apparently this is becoming increasingly common, because the world sucks. I didn't realize it was affecting me this badly. FML

It's not abnormal for men to go after women that remind them of their mothers. Mothers (are suppose to) love you unconditionally. Maybe he's attached to her so he's seeking those traits in his partner. Just like women tend to seek out men that remind them of their fathers.
