Today, I had to clean up human poop that someone trailed through the store. Then, as I was cleaning up all the shelves at the end of the day, I saw that someone had changed their sanitary pad, took a new one out of the packed and used it, then left the used one on the shelf. FML

Today, my neighbor's dog decided to knock over our trash cans, which were full of my bathroom trash. I had to pick up tampon and maxi pad wrappers from all over the neighborhood. FML

Today, I went to drop the garbage in the compactor as I left to do some shopping. I quickly put my handbag down on the side, threw the 'garbage' in the machine, watched it do its thing, and then turned round to find... the bag of garbage on the side. FML

Today, at work, a lady approached me asking if I'd found a used cloth diaper on a table, and I told her it was probably in the trash. She said "That's okay, I can wash it." So I searched through several bags of trash, and when I couldn't find it, she said "Oh never mind! It's in my bag." FML

Today, I was in a bathroom stall and someone had left their dirty tampon rolled up in toilet paper on the top of the paper dispenser. I felt obligated to dispose of it, so the next person didn't think I left it, because there was a line for the stalls. Fuck you, asshole. FML

Bio-hazardous pay! Seriously though, I don't think that that was within your job description. I'm assuming that you're the "ride-on-the-back-of-the-garbage-truck-and-toss-bags-in-said-truck" variety. If a used tampon is not properly contained within a garbage bag and is on the ground, you were well within your rights to not pick it up. Honestly, OP, have a little more common sense than that. Would you pick up a used syringe? You can contract something from somebody's blood easily. Besides, considering that a jar full of someone's urine is marked "bio-hazardous" I can safely say that a used tampon is something you can readily ignore.
