Today, my mum was in a bad mood, so I tried to cheer her up by telling her I love her, and giving her a hug. She slapped me hard enough to leave a red, hand-shaped mark on my face, and told me to fuck off with my "sarcasm". FML

Today, I tried to give my mom a hug, but she pushed me away and yelled at me for trying to hug her while she’s angry. When I asked how I was supposed to know, she replied, “Read my fucking body language, idiot!” I’m diagnosed autistic and she knows it. FML

Wow, that would be really painful. Being slapped and yelled at for trying to show your mother that you love you could cause emotional damage. How can telling someone you love them and hugging them be seen as sarcastic, especially if it's a child to their parent?
