Sounds like you're mom is manic depressive and she's off her meds.

I really don't think that if this OP's mom had a mental illness or even thought she had one would he broadcast it on FML. There could be a simple explanation to this post such as it really is a 40 year old man child whining about his lack of necessities, but we will never really find out as the OP's generally do not re-post in the comments section. If it is a case of him being a mere child who has no way to get to a grocery store or money to do so then this is a problem. Hopefully the OP has at least voiced this to his Mother.

there are many churches that offer emergency supplies like food and toiletries. They will never turn someone away no matter what your age.
