Today, I took a girl I like to the movies. Everything went great until I went in to kiss her. She didn't object, but my mother, who apparently followed me to the theater and was now pulling me away by my shirt while saying, "We're leaving!" certainly did. FML

Today, I was texting my mother after my boyfriend broke off our relationship. She offered incredibly supportive replies such as "No, really?" and "Aww, that sucks." before apparently getting bored and claiming she had to go because her "text reception" was breaking up. FML

I've never met anyone who honestly wants to be alone the majority of the time unless they had a social disorder. So many people are lonely. That's why I always include as many people as I can in different events I hold.

It's alright OP! I have a boyfriend and I still say those kinds of things to my mom (I was very sick as a child and so I developed separation anxiety for my parents). Moms (and dads) are the best!!
