Today, my husband declined a $100k/year job due to him thinking that a full time job at one work place would be too 'depressing'. I'm a nurse and have to wipe other people's arses for a living, then come home to this lazy dick. FML

Today, my husband decided he was finally going to quit his job. We literally bought a house last week. His job is/was easy, with pay way above his qualifications. After we'd talked about it FOR THE 50TH TIME, he did the opposite and texted the dept. head that he hates the company and wants to be part time at most. FML

Today, I got a job, a good job with benefits, a 401(k), and took a lot of work to get this: background check, drug testing, being qualified and I need to pay bills. I can't even be happy because my husband got demoted. It's all about him, and fuck my hard work. FML

Today, my husband has a chronic illness and can't work. We have 2 special needs kids who need a lot of assistance. Rent continues to go up and went up this year $570 for a total of $1800. I've taken up a second job to make ends meet, but it's increasing my depression. FML

Today, my husband needs the money from my job, but will in no way support me to work. He NEVER cooks, cleans, or picks up after himself. I've got no place to work, except a nook by the bathroom, and I have to manage my toddler, who always poops only when I'm in a meeting, and cries for me. Quitting my job is "out the question." FML

Today, my husband had to quit his job. Five months ago, we paid a deposit on a brand new house, and the title and mortgage need to be finalized next week. His work is forcing him out because he wanted to do his job safely and to a high standard of workmanship. FML

Today, I quit my job, mainly because I didn't work enough hours and thus, earn enough money. In the past, they said there isn't any other paid work they could provide. They've now added different tasks, more money, and more hours to the position. I'm helping to find a replacement for a job I would otherwise apply to. FML

Today, I was fired from my job for "lack of work". What that means is that my boss hired his good-for-nothing lazy son, who then got too big of a mortgage, and he had to let me go to pay him a higher salary. FML

hell, lazy as i am, i'd snatch a 100k/yr job up in a heartbeat! make your husband make his own damn food, if he wants his clothes washed he can do it himself. and if he wants sex make him go out and get a job so he can support any kids you might give him.

I'm just going to point out to everyone telling the OP to quit and find a new job -- IT'S A F*CKING RECESSION, and it's getting worse. It's very hard to find a job, and people have to put up with lots of stuff they wouldn't normally deal with, especially if one member of the household isn't pulling their weight. For him to be offered a job like that while it's becoming impossible to find smaller, crappier jobs and turning it down for a stupid reason like that means he clearly has no grasp of the responsibilities that come with being an adult. You do what you have to do to get by, even if that means having to wipe someone's ass -- or work in one place. o_o Not saying OP should divorce him, or anything, but he is a lazy dick. :/

Obviously you care more about money than your husband's happiness. Jobs like this aren't offered to lazy idiots -a company was impressed by him and think he's worth the investment. If he's gotten an offer like this then there's a very food chance that he's got more coming. Either that or he's depressed and needs you to support him instead of bitching about him to a bunch of strangers. I feel sorry for him because it sounds like he's stuck with a critical nag of a wife and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he leaves you for someone who is actually nice to him. Actually maybe he's already planning on it and he doesn't want a big income for you to take half of in alimony. Either way you fail at being a wife.
