Today, my husband and I have been trying to buy a house and start a family together. Now I find out that he just spent $5000 on comic books. FML

Bloody hell, he needs to sort out his priorities

He's getting ready for the kids so they can have something to read .

if he can still stick to the plan buy a house and start a family together. What is wrong to buy a 5,000 worth of comic books ??

priorities... Finding a place to live through saving up for a down payment is a better idea than gambling that some comic book will increase in price 30 years in the future. Not all comic books grow in value and he probably could get more by investing wisely.

all comics are stupid and should be burned for warmth

You're stupid and should be burned for warmth

Burn him? Are you crazy? Feed him to the wolves!!!

Don't hate maybe that's what he enjoys in life.... Women like you need to Stfu and look at how much u get rather than what he gets

You're 17. You don't know a god damn thing about what women "need to do". You need to get a ******* clue, child. OP is obviously trying to save money for legitimate things (house, children). Unless The husband owns a comic book store, his spending $5000 on comics is ludicrous.

Normally, I would have said that I'm offended. But, I can agree with you on this... #37 is 17 years old and can't even spell BORED correctly? Thats rather sad.

There's usually a spender and a saver in a relationship. Hopefully, it balances out. Ugh! I feel your pain! I'm the saver! I work too hard to spend a bad cent. I'd be upset if such a purchase was made without my knowledge! FYL

Comic books or the futures of rare commodities?

C'mon, OP... you KNEW he spent his money on comic books before you got married.
