Today, my husband and I have been trying to buy a house and start a family together. Now I find out that he just spent $5000 on comic books. FML

priorities... Finding a place to live through saving up for a down payment is a better idea than gambling that some comic book will increase in price 30 years in the future. Not all comic books grow in value and he probably could get more by investing wisely.

You're 17. You don't know a god damn thing about what women "need to do". You need to get a ******* clue, child. OP is obviously trying to save money for legitimate things (house, children). Unless The husband owns a comic book store, his spending $5000 on comics is ludicrous.

There's usually a spender and a saver in a relationship. Hopefully, it balances out. Ugh! I feel your pain! I'm the saver! I work too hard to spend a bad cent. I'd be upset if such a purchase was made without my knowledge! FYL
