Today, my ex showed up at my door with chocolates and flowers. I've liked him since I was 13, starting dating him when I was 15. He proposed when I was 22. I am now 24, and yesterday was our wedding day. He didn't show. FML

he's not really your ex. he's just your fiancee that forgot to marry you.

He probably got cold feet. A lot of grooms do.

How does anyone interpret this as a 'love story'? He is a total idiot. And if you're smart, he's staying your ex.

When I see stories like this, all I can think about is how unlucky you are and how utterly STUPID the groom is. Unless he got in a car accident or there was a tragedy involving his loved ones that he needed to see right away, there's no excuse whatsoever. After all that planning, all that hard work, all those people who took the time to show up... God, I would have never spoken to him again unless he had a real excuse if I was you. FYL

I agree. This the most awful kind of FML there is. I hope you two work things out and that he had a legitimate reason for not being there.

You know, I can see this story being made into a movie. Girl falls in love at 13, dates him at 15, they've been together ever since they were allowed to date, at 22 she gets proposed to. After 2 years of planning the wedding, at 24, the groom just doesn't show up. FYL OP!

i can see it becoming a That 70's show episode that i saw yesterday

Good story. In case any of you dumbfucks didnt pick up on it, I was being sarcastic.

"where were you?" "i was buying you flowers and chocolate."

That really sucks. He would have A LOT of explaining to do, and he'd have to do more than bring you some flowers and chocolate for missing your wedding. To all the people saying "Oh he got cold feet so it's okay", no it's not okay. People get engaged and get married a few months later, for the most part, and they go through at least one rehearsal and such. If he really loved her and got nervous to be getting married to her, it would have been glaringly obvious the moment they did the rehearsal and he should have said something then. Or he should have been a man and gone through with it anyway. Either way, he deserves a good hard kick.

I always needed a girl that could wait for me. They are rare.
