Today, my ex showed up at my door with chocolates and flowers. I've liked him since I was 13, starting dating him when I was 15. He proposed when I was 22. I am now 24, and yesterday was our wedding day. He didn't show. FML

Today, I went to the surprise birthday party of an ex I still love, though I'm the one who ended things. I walked in in time to see her screaming "Yes" to her kneeling boyfriend, her parents crying and applauding, and her brothers patting him on the back. FML

Today, my family surprised me for my birthday by showing up with a chocolate cake and my ex-boyfriend from back home. They all forgot I'm allergic to chocolate, that I broke up with him about a year ago, and that he’s been trying to win me back ever since. FML

He isn't your ex if you never broke up. If yesterday was the big day, then give the guy about 1 hour to explain. You've known him for 11 years. That feeling doesn't go away instantaneously. If he can't yield a good excuse, dump. It will hurt. If he can, then you will re-make the plans, and yes, it will be hard with everyone, but don't break up with a guy you were about to marry after 11 freaking years.
