Like someone stated above, since it's same sex intercourse, there is no genetic taboo there. Also, she says "my cousin", no "our", so they may not be related at all. Even if they are related by blood, their actual relationship may not look like family at all. You can discover cousins at a late age and have no family like bounds with them at all. I'm not too grossed by that FML, to be honnest. But I agree that walking in on your sibling having sex is always awkward xD
