Today, I went out drinking with a friend I've been crushing on for a while now. After we'd been talking and had a few, she said, "Man, I haven't gotten laid in months! Do you mind?" Surprised but hopeful, I nodded. She leaned over, hugged me, and went to hit on a guy by the bar. FML
Today, my best friend of 5 years, who I got feelings for, and who I spent endless time bending over backwards and going above and beyond for, once again rejected me. He got into a car accident and I stayed with him all night, only for some girl he never even told me about to come and introduce herself as his girlfriend. FML
Today, I woke up next to my best friend after lots of drinking and the best sex I've ever had in my life. The only problem is we're both straight males. FML
Today, I was drunk at a party and confessed my love for my crush and told her how I felt. According to my friends, I made out with another girl not long after my confession. FML

It's a mixture between ydi and what the hell were you thinking!? Your bestfriend is in a relationship AND he's drunk AND his girlfriend isn't around. Maybe you've been watching to many romantic comedies, this isn't a movie where you can go around hooking up with your bestfriend because you realize you love him. This is reality, you're not only hurting yourself but that girl as well. It is confusing when you're dealing with love, but in the end you just end up hurting yourself, and writing your sad story on a FML.com

i echo #103... alcohol lowers inhibitions. him wanting you when he's drunk means that he wants you when he's sober, too. he's just not willing to act on it (yet). i feel the worst for his girlfriend though.
