Today, my best friend, with whom I have been in love for years, kissed me, hugged me, held my hand, hooked up with me and told me that he loved me more than anything and wanted to be with me... until he sobered up and his girlfriend got back to town. FML

You absolutely deserve it for screwing around with your drunk "best friend" knowing he was already in a relationship with someone else. Imagine how you'd feel if YOU were the one he drunkenly cheated on. **** his girlfriend's life, not yours.

How dare I? Easily. It is difficult to come out, I'm sure. I can almost guarantee you it does not equal the pain of discovering one's girl- or boyfriend has cheated.

I agree 62, everyone has 'don't be a homophobe' and 'be politically correct' shoves up their collective asses so far that they're siding with OP once they realize OP is gay. It shouldn't matter if OP is female or a gay male in this case. That's not the issue here, or rather, it shouldn't be. The 'best friend' cheated on his GF. Gay or not, OP is just as much in the wrong, especially if they are best friends. OP would definetly know about the GF in that case.

I agree 'mrjude'. Why can't you people just leave him alone. I know EXACTLY what it feels like to be in love with a strait (or in denial) best friend. I hope you can work things out with your friend. Even if you can not be with him, I hope you can continue your friendship. Good luck.

lol at 58! xD and Uhhhh first off... you knew he had a gf... second never have sex while the other person is drunk... although his true feelings of the heart were let out alcohol impairs the part of our body that allows us to think logically... our brain... therefore just because he said that drunk doesn't mean it's how he overall feels considering half his human judgement was impaired... and third don't be gay xD
