As nice as that is, you should probably take him aside sometime and explain why he shouldn't do that as wildly anymore. Otherwise your pain will be never ending and will likely be worse as he gets older and stronger lol

that's kind of dumb. instead of making it a teaching moment to explain to your child why it hurt, you lied.

Tell him what he did and explain to him why it is not ok and why he needs to be more careful next time he wants to jump in your bed.
