Today, my 11-year-old son and I took an IQ test for a laugh. To be honest, I've often suspected that I may have some form of mental retardation, but I didn't expect to get a score of 79, while he got one of 114. FML

Most IQ tests are knowledge tests and not IQ tests. I'm sorry but what does knowing the Capitol of Ghana have to do with my IQ? Also nurture your kids love of puzzles if they have one. Makes for interesting thinking patterns later in life, and usually a decent amount of nurtured common sense.

Actually, most IQ tests are logic puzzle tests, sometimes with a bit of maths. NEVER heard of an IQ test having any general knowledge in it.

I, too, have never seen general knowledge on an IQ test I've taken. It should be mostly logic and math, like 15 said.

Unless this was a qualified test performed and graded by a professional, I wouldn't necessarily quantify it as fact.
