You'll get over it, we were all a little uncomfortable about it at one time. Today I use those words on a regular basis at work. For example, "Your dog's ****** was covered in knots and urine." or "Your dog's testicles were knotted to his leg." Then people realize that it's *painful*.. andthattheyshouldneutertheirdogs. /rant

That's why you don't tell people those kinds of secrets. It is almost a guarantee that they will exploit it for their own amusement or personal gain.

Admittedly, families tease. It was a bad idea to tell them. But I'm not going to vote YDI because of it; that's just stupid. My big twitch-factor in school was dissection, and I was happy to able to confide in my father about how much I hated it and the fact that it deeply disturbed me. We should all be able to tell our families about things that bother us, and while we should brace ourselves for some future mockery (secrets ALWAYS double as ammunition, especially among siblings), any good family will at least throw some pity your way...if not offer advice and respect. It's sad that the people on here lack the family values needed to understand that. FYL, OP.
