Today, I went to see a doctor about some of the memory problems I've been having. After the appointment, I could barely remember a thing he told me. FML

I had a clever comment, but forgot what i was going to say.

That's why it helps to have a pencil and legal pad EVERYWHERE you go. :)

So, you went to a doc about memory problems, and the doc didn't give you any written material to go over after? One would think that would be standard procedure...

If you have a memory problem.. How do you remember you have the memory problem? O.o

As someone who has an illness and is on meds that effect my memory, I always take notes or record the appts. I writer down what I want to talk about. I journal my activities. And I make notes on what the dic says as well as ask for a copy of my appt records if it is something really important. For big appointments, I also try to take someone I trust with me. We got to look at our health care as a team effort with the doctor being part if the team and take our responsibility for our part. Takes practice. Sucks to get use to. But once you do, you will be better off. Good luck.

Yet OP still remembers to post an FML about it.
