Today, I went to my regular pharmacist of three months, and since I've always seen him on a crutch, I asked him how his leg was. His response, "Still missing". FML

He is behind a counter first of all, and second he could have had a prosthetic and been wearing pants.

The that crutch must've cost him an arm and a leg. *Badum tiss*

Bless him he's got a great sense of humor! My buddy who got his arm blown off in Iraq has a prosthetic that says "oops!" good guy

I would've been really amused by that and made it a topic for conversation. If all goes well, you make a new friend. Being professional, he would've been wearing long pants so it's not as if it were obvious.. Some people are so good with their prostheses that they don't even limp. :)

I can relate ( being an amputee myself) and also "putting my foot in it" (hahaha??)

You should have said "well, good luck finding it!"

I'm sorry, that must've been really awkward. You didn't know and your intentions were thoughtful so don't be too hard on yourself about it OP.

All you can do is say 'Oh my goodness I am so sorry! You are always behind the desk, I didn't know!!'

Im pretty sure he waas making a joke out of it
