Today, I was trying to be-friend a boy who was sitting alone. He had his gameboy nearly plastered to his eyes. I, cleverly, say to him, "Geeze don't put that thing so close, your eyes will fall out!" He took off his sunglasses, eyes going crooked, and said, "I'm legally blind." Insert foot here. FML

He said he is "legally blind" not just "blind." There are certain levels that a person can 'pass' to be considered blind by law. One of my friend's dad is legally blind. He can still see somewhat but his vision is very blurry and glasses do not help. So by law, he is classified as blind.

just read number 7, he sai it all. you dont have to be completely blind to be considered legally blind. he must have really bad vision and that is obvously why he needs to hold to gameboy so close to his face.

I’m legally blind, I have no peripheral vision but still have some of my central vision, so I still use my phone and game hardcore.
