Nothing wrong with that. I waited until I was 25 to have sex. I'm now engaged to the guy and perfectly happy. I won't say that there weren't times that I regretted the choice, but in the end it was right for me.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with that OP, you go at your own pace, not someone elses. You'll find the right person one day, at least you told your friend the truth, a lot of people would have lied in that situation. :)
