Today, I used a red-eye removal tool on one of my photos. I quickly realised how bad my acne is when the software couldn't distinguish between my eyes and cheeks. FML

Go to your Doctor. I too had acne and it is totally treatable. I don't even have any scars! Don't put it off for another day OP.

Not everyone can afford to go to a dermatologist just because of a little acne.
Keep your face clean, Op. Keep trying products until you find one suited for your skin type, I guess.

If you can't wait, i reccomend asking your doctor about perscription medicine. Pretty effective, and my health insurance covered for it!

Pepperoni face, eh? I know the feeling, acne is torture. You should take better care of your skin. that's a lot of acne. :(

You can take great care of your skin and still have horrible acne. Hormones suck... she should look into birth control pills. They work like a charm on pimple problems.

Yeah. I order skin care products online and they're organic, my skin is so much better... Op should research skin care products on google.

10 - I was just going to suggest birth control pills. I've been using a low dose to treat my horrid looking skin. It's the only thing that's worked for me.
OP, go see a dermatologist if your acne is really that bad.

A healthy diet and exercise also helps. I haven't gotten a pimple in months.

Birth control pills help but they don't clear it up. If it's really that bad try Accutane. Talk to your dermatologist as there can be a lot of side effects but most everyone I know has had success with it!

I got bad acne in 5th grade and it never went away. I got fed up with in in 8th, and asked my mom to take me to my doctor and they gave me an RX. They usually don't prescribe birth control, if you aren't sexually active, that's why I couldn't get it. But my RX helped, a lot!!! Good luck, OP.

Acutane is a last case scenario

^ Not always. My dermatologist told me it's for two types of people: when the acne is very bad(this seems to be the case in the FML) or when nothing else has worked like you said.

I'd say if all else fails prescription strength anti-biotics wrks great along with prescription strength acne cream. After half a year i was only on anti-biotics and then after another half a year it was probably a combo of me growing out of acne and the anti-biotics working, acne never came back since

it's alright, everyone has had acne once in a while, but a little acne cream should fix you up in no time!

You need Proactive NOW. Sorry about your acne problem.

Why is it that every time there's an acne related FML, people have to mention Proactiv. There's no cure for it, so it's not like Proactiv will work for everyone. Their ads are ridiculous anyway. I'm not trying to be rude, just speaking my mind.

Proactiv didn't work for me. I switched to organic materials that clear up your skin a lot better.

I. had. acne. FMLs. Because there are always people who mention Proactiv, or to "take better care of your skin!" If OP was with you, they probably would have popped you in the face.

Doesn't red eye software usually put a black or dark coloured spot over the red area?
