Today, I requested two hours off for tomorrow afternoon. My supervisor and manager called me into the office to talk to me about how important it is to be in the office as much as possible. A little later, my supervisor told me that for budgeting reasons, I have to take 3 non-paid days off. FML

Hurikan? Dear god. An Amime/Manga fan? As a person of Japanese descent I can't stand to see these things become a part of nerdy pop culture. Trust me, Anime and Manga are not cool

Anime and manga are just like any other medium; some of it is great (like Cowboy Bebop), and some of it is utter shit that isn't worth viewing (like almost everything else). Saying ALL anime and manga are awful based on the shitty ones is like saying all SITCOMs are terrible b/c the vast majority of them are., but forgetting the great ones like Seinfeld. Don't dismiss an entire medium just b/c most of it sucks.

you asked for time off less than 24 hours before you wanted it off? obviously your life does suck. but only because you're such a moron that you make it suck. ask for time off with a reasonable advance.

i agree 39.. obviously you cant plan emergencies or being sick but there are some cases that leave you with little notice to get off work.. but op you kinda deserve it for giving such short notice.. makes it more difficult to get someone to cover your time off
