At least, it was you who took one for the team. Proper preparation of food and making sure that the ingredients are fresh are vitally important, yet, overlooked. Be careful. I'm sure you'd feel much worse if you got someone else sick.

If you're the only one that got food poisoning, are you sure it was the spaghetti bolognese that did it? It seems to me like it could have been something else you ate if no one else got sick.

Agreed. Also, people often don't realize that the food poisoning doesn't happen from the food you ate that day, it is often from something anywhere from 2-4 days ago. That's why outbreaks like e.coli are hard to nail down when it come to origin because it all depends on how quickly you digest and how well your digestive system is able to take care of the bacteria on its own.
