Today, I got pulled over. Suspicious that I'd been drinking, the police officer made me walk a straight line and recite the alphabet. I failed both. I was completely sober. FML

Study suggest that sleep deprivation is equivalent to alcohol impairment. And if you were that sleep deprived to the point that you could not walk a straight line and couldn't recite the alphabet to the officer as a sobriety test, then YDI. You shouldn't be driving.

It didn't say the OP was tired. On a full night's sleep I can not walk a straight line. Nor can I stand with my weight evenly distributed on my two feet, ever. I will fall over.
