Today, I got hit in the mouth with a hockey stick and lost four teeth. Yesterday I got my braces of six years removed. FML

my parents made me get braces for "cosmetic reasons" when i went to the orthodontist she asked why i was there, because my teeth were fine... i had to wear braces for two years anyway.

It's pretty much the opposite of that here, I only got braces because my canine teeth were stuck and I had to have 2 teeth extracted to get them to descend from my jaw, then the braces evened everything back up. My brother's teeth are not straight but because there is no problem with them he didn't get braces. Obviously if he wanted he could pay for them but he wouldn't get them free like I did

hmmmm. ever hear of a mouth guard???? they make them so you don't loose your teeth!!!!!! if I was your parent I would be pissed.

A lot of mouthguards only protect the top teeth. Op may have lost four bottom teeth.
